Paint Protection Film BrisbaneClear PPF for Stone Chips and Scratches
Keep the front end factory-clean past 100,000 kilometres, and hold the resale value of a car worth protecting.
The short version
That is why paint protection film brisbane drivers book ProCloud, fitted at the Brendale workshop by the same in-house crew as our vehicle wraps.
PPF is a clear, thicker polyurethane film applied over the panels that get hit hardest.
Stone chips from motorway travel, insect residue that bakes on in a Queensland summer, door dings from tight carparks, and swirl marks from towel washes. The film takes those hits so the paint underneath does not.
Premium films self-heal minor swirls under sun heat, hold clarity for 5 to 10 years, and come off cleanly when it is time to replace them.

The panels that actually need PPF
You do not wrap the whole car unless the paint is genuinely irreplaceable. Most jobs cover the panels that cop 80 to 90 percent of the impact damage.
Not every vehicle needs every zone. What you drive, where you drive it and how you park it decide the coverage, and we map the panels before quoting.
Front bumper. Stone chip zone number one. Cheapest panel to protect, biggest visible difference over 3 to 5 years.
Bonnet. Full or partial. Full protects everything, partial (leading half) protects the strike zone at a lower price.
Front fenders. Covers the corner where stone-throw off the tyres hits.
Side mirrors and door edges. Insect residue on mirrors, chip damage on door edges from tight parking.
Rocker panels and rear wheel arches. Stone throw off the rear tyres, especially on utes and larger vehicles.
Headlight lenses. Stops UV yellowing on modern polycarbonate lenses.
Full-body PPF versus front-end PPF
Two most common jobs.
Front-end PPF covers bumper, bonnet (full or partial), fenders, side mirrors and headlights.
It is the highest-value zone for most Brisbane drivers, protecting the panels that take the most abuse for the least material.
Full-body PPF wraps every visible panel, including doors, quarters and rear. It is the pick for high-value vehicles, custom paint, exotics, and drivers who want the car factory-fresh when they sell it 8 years later.
Cost is roughly 3 to 5 times a front-end job.
For a work ute or a family SUV, front-end usually returns the strongest value. For a car you plan to own a decade, full-body starts to pay off.

Ceramic on top of PPF
PPF does the physical work. Ceramic coating goes over the top and does the chemical work.
Water beads off both film and paint, and cleaning gets easier across every panel, not just the coated bare paint.
The stack is common enough that ProCloud packages it. See the ceramic and PPF packages page for the three most-booked combinations.
If you already know you want the stack, run the numbers through the cost calculator first.
Why fit PPF here, not a specialist
PPF is a NEW ProCloud service line in 2026. Film work is not.
The Brendale workshop has printed, cut and installed polyurethane and vinyl film on vehicles for 30 years, on wraps, graphics and lettering, and that skill set transfers straight to PPF install.
You get the same install crew you would meet for a vehicle wrap, in the same dust-controlled bay at Unit 10, 193 South Pine Road, Brendale.
You drop the car with the team that quoted it, and you collect from the same team. No third-party detailer, no drop-and-collect at a shop across town.
If you are booking a wrap or ceramic coating in the same visit, the whole job runs on one project. One invoice, one install date, one point of contact.

FAQs
PPF cost depends on coverage zones and film grade. A partial front-end kit (bumper, bonnet leading edge, mirrors) starts on the lower end. A full front-end (full bumper, full bonnet, both fenders, mirrors, headlights) sits in the mid-range. Full-body PPF is 3 to 5 times a full front-end. Use the cost calculator or send photos for a fixed quote.
Quality PPF films are rated 5 to 10 years outdoors depending on brand and gloss finish. Real-world life depends on storage, wash technique and driving environment. A garaged car with careful washing pushes the top of that range. Highway commuters that see weekly pressure washes sit at the shorter end.
Old-generation films yellowed. Modern premium films are UV-stabilised and hold clear for the film life. If you see yellowing inside the warranty, the film gets replaced.
No. A wrap is opaque, coloured vinyl designed to change the look of the vehicle. PPF is a clear polyurethane film designed to protect the paint underneath while showing the original colour. Different product, different purpose, though the install skill set overlaps.
Yes. Quality film, correctly installed, comes off cleanly without damaging the paint underneath. That is one reason it is the pick for lease returns and resale-focused ownership. Removal is a service ProCloud runs as well.
Yes. Tradie utes and work vans are strong PPF candidates because they see high stone-chip exposure. Front-end coverage is the usual pick. See the tradie vehicle protection page for how PPF stacks with ceramic on work vehicles.
