Fleet Numbers and Fleet Identification Stickers for Trucks, Buses and Coaches
Every vehicle in your fleet needs a number an auditor, a driver and a depot camera can all read at a glance.
The short version
Fleet numbers are the individual unit identifiers printed on the side, rear and roof of every vehicle in a commercial fleet.
ProCloud designs, prints and cuts fleet number stickers, truck fleet numbers, custom fleet numbers and bus fleet numbers out of the Brendale workshop.
Operators use fleet identification numbers to track vehicles across a depot, tally maintenance jobs against a unit, and meet the QLD Transport and Main Roads (TMR) stickering requirements that apply to accredited passenger and heavy vehicle operators.

What fleet numbers cover
A full set puts the unit ID where it needs to be seen, from 30 metres on the road to a camera over the depot gate.
A standard fleet number set includes:
Sizes and placements are set by the operator's TMR accreditation, their internal fleet standard, or the bus operator contract they hold with a local authority.
ProCloud works to the operator's spec sheet, or drafts a sensible placement based on the body style if you do not have one written down yet.
Side unit numbers. The main unit ID printed both sides of the vehicle in a size that is readable at 30 metres.
Rear unit numbers. A smaller repeat of the unit ID on the rear door or panel.
Roof numbers (buses and coaches). Large unit IDs on the roof so the vehicle can be identified from a depot camera or an overpass.
Cab or door unit tag. A small internal or external panel with the unit ID next to the door handle for driver reference.
What fleet numbers are used for
Which unit was it, when was it last serviced, where does it go next. Custom fleet numbers on the side of the vehicle answer the first question at a glance.
Every fleet operator gets asked those same three things by an auditor, an insurance assessor or a customer complaint. The number on the door settles the argument fast.
For QLD bus, coach and heavy vehicle operators, fleet identification numbers are also a compliance requirement.
TMR accreditation and passenger service licences typically require a visible fleet or operator ID on the vehicle in a specified size and location. Missing or damaged stickers get flagged at audit.
Fleet numbers also run your internal systems. Maintenance logs tie to the unit number.
Driver rosters call out the unit. Depot cameras pick up the roof number.
Get the sticker right once and the rest of the systems fall into place around it.

Why buyers pick our fleet numbers
Fleet number stickers that survive years of highway driving, high-pressure washing and Queensland sun come down to the vinyl grade and the cut standard.
ProCloud uses cast vinyl rated 5 to 7 years outdoors.
Numbers are plotted from the same colour-managed workflow that runs our vehicle wraps, so the black actually reads black and the numeral shape stays sharp under lamination.
The in-house install crew has fitted fleet numbers on buses, coaches, box trucks, prime movers, refrigerated trailers and service utes.
Where a rear panel has ribbing or a curve a flat sticker will not sit on, we cut the number in sections so it lays flat and stays down.

What customers say

Andrea MerrickHow a fleet number order runs
Send three things and a fixed per-vehicle price comes back: a fleet list, a sample photo of one vehicle, and your placement spec or TMR requirement.
ProCloud returns the price with an artwork proof and a lead time. Once you sign off, the vinyl gets plotted and cut.
Pick up the completed sticker packs, have them freighted to depot, or book the vehicles in for install at the Brendale workshop.
For accounts running rolling unit additions, ProCloud keeps the artwork spec on file. One email brings up the spec for the next batch of unit numbers, priced at the same per-vehicle rate.

Send your fleet list, your placement spec and a sample vehicle photo, and we will quote a fixed per-vehicle price, proof the artwork, and turn the order around inside standard lead times.

FAQs
Sizes depend on the operator spec, the vehicle body style and any TMR accreditation requirement. Bus and coach fleets typically run 300mm side numerals with a smaller rear repeat. Truck fleets often follow the operator's internal standard. ProCloud works to your spec sheet or drafts one based on the body style.
Yes. ProCloud regularly prints fleet identification numbers for QLD passenger and heavy vehicle operators covered by TMR accreditation. Send your placement requirement and the crew proofs against it before print.
Yes. Buses, coaches, minibuses, box trucks, prime movers and refrigerated trailers all get done out of the Brendale workshop. Roof numbers for depot camera identification are common for bus and coach fleets.
The cast vinyl ProCloud uses is rated 5 to 7 years outdoors in Australian conditions. Vehicles that live in high-pressure wash cycles or prolonged direct sun may need a refresh at the shorter end of that range. Replacements are quick because the artwork stays on file.
Yes. Many operators prefer to install fleet number stickers at their own depot during scheduled maintenance. ProCloud ships the pre-cut vinyl packs, one pack per unit, with install instructions.
Yes. Fleet accounts get the artwork spec, size, colour and placement stored against the account. Add or replace vehicles and one email brings the spec back up, quoted for the next batch at the same per-vehicle price.
